It seems particularly pertinent at the moment to say that nothing ever stays the same. And while some recent changes have been unwelcome there is still a lot to be thankful for and appreciate. Hope left us last week to embark on a new adventure working in London and we have welcomed Alex and Louise to the clinic to help in reception. Alex joined us at the start of September and Louise had her first day last Saturday.
Alex Pinnell – Veterinary Receptionist
Alex will be our morning receptionist on Monday to Friday from 9.30am-2pm. Alex finished her equine course at Hartpury and has worked in the equine industry as a groom for the last few years. Alex has always loved small pets as well as large ones and wanted a new challenge so we are delighted to welcome her to the clinic. Alex has a couple of feline friends at home called Crystal and Fleur but she loves a good doggy cuddle too.
Alex is looking forward to getting to know everyone…socially distanced of course!
Louise O’Brien – Veterinary Receptionist
Louise is another busy horsey lady like Alex. She also has a family to keep in check and is kept on her toes by a husband, two teenagers, two dogs and one horse. We are so pleased that she could squeeze in the time to come and work for us on Saturdays. Louise had two dogs Pixie, a French Bulldog, and Winnie a black Labrador Retriever. Winnie has just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis so Louise may also become a client of the clinic too as well as a member of staff!

Hope started with us last year as our Saturday receptionist. She enjoyed working with us so much that she was able to squeeze in looking after reception on Wednesday and Friday afternoons in between her college course.
Hope graduated Amersham college with a distinction in her photography course despite not being able to go into college due to lockdown. Her plan was to go travelling in January but Covid has put that on hold for the moment. Hope’s Dad runs a pub in Barons Court so she is off to work full time to help out her family during this difficult time.
We wish her all the best and hope to see some photos of all the exotic places she has visited in the not-to-distant future.
We are without an afternoon receptionist at the moment due to being let down at short notice. Philippa is manning reception Monday – Friday afternoons so do bear with her as she will also be seeing clients in her Veterinary capacity on Mondays and Tuesdays too. Hopefully we will find another lovely member to add to our team soon.
